At the end of the day, Professor Philip was gathering things on his small personal suitcase with a mindset to leave the University. He was already running late this evening as he looked into the materials for tomorrow’s class. Also he seemed a bit comforted as today’s lecture had gone very well. In his hand eventually he was holding a paper with some unanswered questions from today. “The students are interacting pretty well”, he thought.

As he was about to leave he felt some unusual lightness in his hands. Something was missing there. “My gold Bracelet” he stammered. His gold bracelet was missing from his left hand. Just before he could worry about it he remembered that he had kept it in the Anatomy laboratory this afternoon during cerebral-vascular session.

His desperateness made him go after it to the Lab. A long hallway stood between him and the laboratory. It was mostly silent except for the sound of professor’s boots when he walked. Passing on through the HOD’s cabin he got a quick glance at the mirrored door the and the gold colored clock hanging above it. The clock showed an unusual timing of 2.30 AM. “Probably out of Battery”, he thought.

As he reached the laboratory he was surprised to see the laboratory door open. It was unusual to find it open at this hour. There was no one inside the whole building except himself. The room was dead silent.

In the mildly lit large hall there were a few dead bodies left covered some of which were cut in different places for examining the underlying tissues and organs. A semi skinned skull stood uncovered in the table at a distance. prof. Philip was not a person to be bothered by it. He directly moved towards the drawer where he had kept his bracelet. The moment he grabbed the drawer handle he heard a sliding sound somewhere behind him. Shockingly he turned behind but saw nothing unusual except the exposed skull. After finding the bracelet he was about to move turn backwards when the sound repeated. “Something is wrong with this room today” he thought. The sound repeated a third time but this time there was a movement also. He couldn’t believe that the skull just moved a leap in front of his eyes.

Now the Professor was frozen, for moment he couldn’t think anything. His whole body responded with sweat. Tension surged inside his head. This was the first time in his entire career that such unusual thing had happened. He remembered at a flash some ghost stories he read at his young age and the belief of most of the people who believed in supernatural. After all with all the courage he had, he broke his bound of fear and moved towards the object shouting “what the hell is happening with you ??”. Heading straight to the skull he lifted it….. Hurriedly then a mouse escaped from inside it and ran away quickly
