A man went to a saloon for a haircut. A hairdresser welcomed him.

During the haircut, these two men began the conversation. The topic gradually shifted to the significance of god in the universe.

The hairdresser says — “I don’t believe that there is god. You can call me an atheist.”

“Why?” asked the customer.

“Look out on the streets. There are hundreds of hungry and diseased men. All suffer for one reason or another. If god existed, he should have helped them.” — he replied.

He added — “Why should I accept the existence of such a cruel being, who doesn’t even see all the suffering?”

The customer kept listening. He didn’t want to argue.

After finishing the haircut, he paid and went out.

On the road, he saw an elderly with long, dirty hair and a beard.

He immediately returned to the saloon and claimed — “Do you know? Haircutters don’t exist in this world.”

The coiffeur spoke in a laughing gesture — “Are you crazy? I am standing right in front of you. I am a barber and I just cut your hair.”

Pointing towards the long-haired man, he declared — “If they existed for real, why would a hairy man like that walk in the street? Just look at his nasty beard.”

Hairdresser defends— “These men don’t go for haircuts, then what can we do?”

The customer smiled.

“Right!”

“Just like you said… god does exist.”

“But if someone doesn’t pray to god, never shares the sufferings, but rather questions his existence, how will god be able to help?”

God lives in faith and beliefs. If only you move towards the light, you will see the sunshine.
